Gardening

Weeding, preparing and planting in the school garden.  We planted a Root Garden with beets and carrots and a Squash Garden with Butternut and Acorn Squash and gourds.   We plan to harvest these gardens in the Fall. 

Giving Back to the Community

Paula from the Bethel Food Shelf stopped by this week so we could present her with our donation from our "Popcorn Salad" sales.  Four times during the school year we sold "popcorn salad" to the entire school at snack time.  We voted on a charity to donate the $76.50 and chose the Bethel Food Shelf.  Paula said they would use the money to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers to have available at the Food Shelf this summer.

We had a great time bowling today as part of our All School Celebration for earning over 7,500 hands this year.
