Forest Service Fire Safety

 

Special thanks to Smokey the Bear and all his helpers from the US Forest Service for stopping by school to teach us about fire safety and prevention in the forest.

We had a great time learning to play tennis during gym class at the Rochester Tennis Courts.

Making Apple Cider

We enjoyed tasting yummy apple doughnuts made by 2nd and 3rd grade friends, our apple pie and freshly made cider!

Special thanks to Charity, Ron and Craig for teaching us how to make cider!  It is so nice when former SCS students return to share their knowledge with us.  

 

Apple Fest

 

We celebrated everything APPLES today.  We made apple crowns, played apple games and made apple pie.

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

 

Great trip to Papa's Pumpkin Patch.  We measured and weighed our pumpkins.  

We drew pictures of our  pumpkins.  

It was so hard trying to decide which pumpkin to choose!

We also drew pictures to illustrate the different stages of the life cycle of pumpkins.
