Maple Fest

Great day today as we celebrate maple season and our Maple Fest!

Special thanks to Ms. Janet for scooping our hand churned maple ice cream.  Lots of thumbs up when asked how it was!!

We tasted sugar-on-snow complete with dill pickles and doughnuts!

We all took turns counting and cranking the handle to make our maple ice cream.  

 

Wonderfeet Museum

We had a great time exploring all of the exhibits at Wonderfeet Museum.  

 

Cup Phones at Wonderfeet

 

We continued our study of traveling sounds at Wonderfeet Museum.  Can sound travel through string, ribbon, and fishline connected to cup phones?  

Exlporing Sounds

 This week we have been busy discovering if sounds can travel different objects.  We put the "chicken timer" in or on objects to see if we could still hear it ticking through the object.  

Sugar House Field Trip

Special thanks to the Novotny Family for letting us visit their Sugar House.   

The pancake doughnuts dipped in warm maple syrup were so delicious!

We learned so much about what happens to our sap when it arrives at the Sugar House.  

What a fun trip!
