Edible Insects

We had so much fun creating insects from natural materials last week that  we decided to make our own edible insects for snack.  Our insects all have a head, thorax, abdomen, eyes, 6 legs and antennae too!!Quotes from students: "Best day ever!!" and "Best snack ever!!"

Insect Body Parts

We collected materials from nature to create our insects.  We learned insects have three body parts: head, thorax and abdomen.  After creating our insects, we labeled the parts while singing "Head, Thorax and Abdomen."

Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Abdomen.
