Gingerbread Fun

 After reading many different Gingerbread stories, we invited our 2nd and 3rd grade friends to decorate gingerbread houses with us. 

Reading Buddy Tea

 We all read  a page from our favorite non-fiction book and told why this story was non-fiction. 

 We enjoyed a "spot of tea" together after reading. 

Gingerbread Friends

After reading many different Gingerbread stories identifying characters, the refrain and the endings, we created our own gingerbread friends. 

Reading Challenge Pizza

We exceeded our class reading goal of 500 books during the "Great Reading Challenge"  and voted to wear PJ's to school and make pizza.  Special thanks to Ms. Pam for letting us help make pizza for the entire school for lunch! 

Pilgrim Toys

 We made our own Poppet Dolls and cup and ball game after learning about Pilgrim toys and games.

Pilgrim Chores

 We are learning about some of the chores the Pilgrim children helped with.    We created our own pillows stuffed with balsam needles and filling to show how the Pilgrims made their  mattresses. 

 Instead of dipping candles, we made our candles using beeswax. 

Digging for clams was fun!
