Tennis during PE class

 

We had a super, fun time in PE class today learning to play tennis at the Timber Hawk Tennis Courts in town!!  We are excited to go back again on Thursday for more tennis.

Friday Explorers: Nature Weaving

 

After completing our weather report, we choose our  "sit-spot" to make observations of what we see and hear.  

We gathered items from nature that we could use in our Nature Weaving  project. 

Literacy Time

 

We each have our own individual pocket charts that we use to re-create poems.  

We made super, cool pointers that we use to "Read Around the Room".  

Symmetry

 

We used pattern blocks to learn about symmetry today.  

After creating designs with pattern blocks, we used items from nature to create symmetry outside.

Cookie Names

 

We had so much fun rolling out dough and using cutters to spell our names!  

Leaf Creatures

After reading Leaf Man , we created our own "leaf characters".

another Leaf Man, 

and another fish.  What can you make with some leaves?   
 

Rock Alphabet

 

We used rocks with upper and lower cases letters painted on them to create alphabetical order.
