We enjoyed exploring the playground at the Bethel Recreation Center today.  

Skate Park Fun

 

PE enrichment class today was spent at the Skate Park in Bethel.  

We had so much fun using scooters and skateboards!!

Kindergarten Math: Partners of 10

Great time in math class making partners of 10 with our jumbo cuisenaire rods.  

Many different ways to make 10!!

 

Spring Hike

 

Despite the snowy weather, we ventured out on our Spring Hike to Thundering Brook Falls.  

The view of the Falls was amazing!  

We stopped to build a few snow creations on the Boardwalk on our way back to the back.  

Fun hike and beautiful landscape covered in fresh falling snow!  

Mud Faces

 

We mixed dirt and water together to get just the right consistency of mud.  

We put our mud pies on a tree and began decorating with items found in nature.  

Such fun, amazing designs!!

Mud Kitchen

 

We opened our MUD KITCHEN today.  

Lots of measuring and scooping!

Mud play is not only fun: research shows it has lots of benefits for children, increasing physical activity, building creativity and reducing stress!!

Mud can be messy but it can also be great fun.  Who doesn't love mixing up a mud pie!

Fairy Tale Tea

 

We created some amazing Fairy Tales.  We read them aloud in our Outdoor Space today  We enjoyed "tea" and cookies after reading.  

Before we began creating our Fairy Tales, we made a story board map.  We  thought about who our characters would be, where the story would take place, what the problem was and what our solution would be.
