Holiday Cookies

 

We have been so busy this week making and decorating cookies to share with our families.  What a great, creative group of bakers I have in my class.  

Friday Explorers

Sit spot observations and weather report recording.

What do you see in the frame?  We wrote and drew about what we noticed at 4 different stops on our Nature Walk.  

We painted snow people on wooden blocks.

We made pine cone bird feeders.  

 

Elf Writing

 

Each morning when we arrive at school this week, our friendly classroom elf is hiding in a different place.    Once we spy the elf, we keep the hiding place a secret until everyone finds it.  

We write and draw daily about where we found the elf in our Elf Journals.  

All School Celebration: Ornament Making

 

Super fun day making holiday ornaments.  Special thanks to our amazing PTO for purchasing these kits for all of our students!!

 

Cross Country Skiing

 

We took advantage of the snowy conditions and tested out our cross country skis in the field here at school today.  

So much fun!!

Book Club Discussion Group

 

We enjoyed our first Book Club discussion group this morning.  We each marked our favorite part in The Mitten and took turns sharing our thoughts and opinions about the story.  

Popcorn Salad

 

Yesterday we mixed and bagged the ingredients to make "Popcorn Salad".  

This morning we headed out to all the classrooms to sell our Popcorn Salad for .25 cents per bag.  So much fun!!  We will sell this special treat three more times during the year and donate the money to a charity of our choice.
