This week we have been learning about different types of bird beaks and how the beaks help birds survive. Today we rotated through eight stations, each with a special "food" and three "tools" to represent bird beaks. We had to test and decide which tool (beak) would work best for obtaining the food.

Making Bird Nests
With help from our BIG Friends, we made bird nests from materials found in nature. When our nests were finished, we found a spot in the forest to place our nests. We will check them to see if anything uses them!
Bird Nest Observations
We looked at real bird nests to see what they were made of. After discovering how they were made and what was used to make them, we drew pictures of the nest and made a list of materials we noticed the nest was made from.
