Thank you for joining us today for Books and Bagels as we continue to celebrate I LOVE TO READ!

 

1st Grade Math: Pattern Block Puzzles

 

We used pattern blocks to fill in a shape three different ways. Then we recorded how many of each block we used to complete each puzzle.  

Kindergarten Math: Geoboard Shapes

 

We built shapes on our geoboards and then recorded the shape on paper.  

We created our own shapes using the geoboards and bands!  

I Love to Read: Read a Recipe

 

We read the recipe and followed the directions to make chocolate chip cookies.   We love to read and cook! 

Space Creatures

We each designed and built our own Space Creature using recycled and classroom materials.  After building them, we wrote about them giving them a name and writing about where they live, what they eat and something they have.  

 

Space Poetry

 

We wrote some amazing acrostic poems about space and created space drawing to go with them.  

Red is Best

We all came to school today wearing red and wrote in our Reader's Notebooks about why red is best!

 

Pirate Day

We made some awesome treasure maps after reading a couple stories about pirates!

Shiver Me Timbers!  The Pirates arrived at SCS today!  

We followed clues that led us to the hidden treasure chest and collected gold coins along the way!
