Musical Instruments
We each chose and designed an instrument we wanted to build using recycled materials. This was the culminating activity for the end of our Sound Unit. We used what we learned about sound and vibration to create our instruments.
We made a list of the materials we would need to make our instrument.
After building our instruments, we wrote directions of how we built them.
Super cool, amazing instruments built using recycled materials!!
They are so much fum to play!
Our guitar players.
The drummers.
Everyone else.
Sugar-on-Snow
We used our maple syrup from the Begin's sugar house to make sugar-on-snow. It was sticky and very sweet. What a tasty treat!
Some of us even tried bites of pickles and doughnuts between our bites of sugar-on-snow!
Visiting the Sugar House
Heading out to collect sap!
Emptying sap buckets.
Pouring sap into the gathering tank.
Frozen sap!!
It smells SO sweet and yummy inside the sugar house. Mark and Sandy hard at work!
Thank you Begin Family for an awesome visit to your sugar house. We had a great time!

Sled Dog Visit
Jenny and TJ from Braeburn Siberian Sled Dogs visit to teach us about sled dogs. We learned about the different kinds of sled dogs, their needs and how they learn to do pull the sled.
"I love all of this attention!", is what this dog seems to be saying.
The dogs were super cute and very friendly. We enjoyed interacting with them.
