Traveling Sound Investigation We put a music box inside a metal can, a paper bag, a glass jar and a shoe box to determine if sound would travel through them and whether the sound was loud or soft.
Paper Cup Telephones We explored how sound travels in waves along a string and makes the other cup vibrate as we made and tested paper cup telephones.
Roaring Lions We made our lions "roar" as we pulled the string attached to a paper cup.
Glass Bottle Xylophone We filled bottles with different amounts of water to create our Musical Bottle Xylophone. We wanted to investigate if different amounts of water affect the sound made by tapping on the bottles.
