Vermont State Game Warden Abigail Serra stopped by school this afternoon to teach us more about skunks. She had a pelt, a skeleton and rubber imprints of a skunks footprint.
She also had a surprise to share with us. To quoter one student: "A real live, dead skunk". This skunk had been hit by a car in Pittsford this morning.
So we got a up close look at a skunk!!
The skunk pelt was so soft and fun to touch.
We were surprised at how small the skunk's skull was.
