Building a snow fort.
Celebrating our 100th Day of Kindergarten and 1st Grade!!
We counted out 100 of specific buckets and used those 100 items to create a design.
I made monster using 100 cubes. We used straws, connectors, paper and masking tape to create light blocking structures. We wanted our animals to be protected from the hot sun during the morning, noon and evening sun.
The Kindergarten and 1st grade engineers were hard at work again this week. The task for today was to add paper leaves (sticky notes or cut up paper) to model trees to block as much light as possible from reaching their animal seeking shelter from the hot sun. After shining the sun (a flashlight) on their trees, students were able to revise their design.
Chilly but fun day of ice skating at the Rochester Ice Rink. For some of us, this was our first time on skates.
